In 1999. after a gospel
quartet from St. Petersburg, Florida had returned from ministry in Ukraine,
Lowell Lytle. a member of the quartet and brother of Terry Lytle, encouraged
Terry to send a Mobile Unit to Ukraine. He believed the response would be
tremendous. More contacts were made and invitations were given and before long
Drive-In shipped a 5th-wheel Mobile Unit to Ukraine to work with the Volyn
Baptist Society and Seminary in Lutsk.
The response was tremendous
and the next year a second Unit was shipped. This Unit went to the Capital city
of Kiev. Then, in 2001, Terry visited Volyn and purchased a 50-passenger bus for
the Ukrainian ministry. It is equipped as an indoor film Unit with a large
monitor for the passengers to view the films. It is widely used for summer camps
and meetings. We are told the children get excited about traveling in the bus
and watching the "Jesus" film.
Currently, our records show that in the
five years that Drive-In has ministered in the Ukraine, over 5000 people have
come to faith in Jesus Christ as savior and 68 churches have been planted
and are functioning with fill-time Pastors. We praise the Lord for this very
fruitful ministry.
